Welcome to The Hollygarth
The Hollygarth is a friendly, welcoming members’ club located on Leeds Road in the heart of the beautiful Wharfedale town of Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
With roots dating back to the 1930s, the club originally began life in a rented house across the road — still known today as Hollygarth House. Since then, it has grown into a well-established part of the local community.
In 1967, The Hollygarth moved to its current site on the former Co-Op retail store, with the addition of the function room in 1976/77 — creating the perfect space for social events, celebrations, and gatherings.
Supporting a Meaningful Cause
72 lives remembered. 200 miles completed. One community united.
The Hollygarth Social Club was proud to support a charity event held at Bingley Fire Station, marking the lives lost in the devastating Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017.
The fire, which claimed 72 lives, had a profound and lasting impact on families, firefighters, and communities across the country. It remains a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, support, and never forgetting those affected.
Fire crews set out to complete 72 miles across treadmills and gym bikes — one mile for each life lost.
In an incredible show of resilience, determination, and team spirit, they went far beyond that target, achieving over 200 miles in just 3 hours.
This event was not only a physical challenge, but a reflection of the strength of the fire service community and the wider community coming together in support.
